Welcome to Proof of Purpose. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

1. Purpose and Structure

Proof of Purpose is an onchain nonprofit project designed to empower youth through community engagement and local business support. Our platform operates using blockchain technology, and donations are distributed transparently through smart contracts.

2. Tokenomics and Treasury

Donations are allocated according to the following model:

- 90 percent is directed toward youth champions who redeem their rewards at approved local businesses
- 8 percent is reserved for admin-related overhead costs including software, supplies, and operational support
- 2 percent is reserved for the project founder for discretionary use aligned with project goals

The 8 percent and 2 percent allocations are managed by the Proof of Purpose DAO and the founder respectively. These distributions are transparent and subject to review by the community.

3. Nonprofit Status

Proof of Purpose is actively pursuing 501c3 nonprofit status for its treasury account. Until certification is granted, donations are managed by a multi-signature controlled wallet operated by the DAO.

4. User Accounts

Users must create an account tied to a blockchain wallet and optionally provide contact information such as an email address or phone number. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information.

5. Conduct Expectations

All users are expected to engage respectfully and ethically with other community members, vendors, and admins. Fraudulent activity, harassment, or misuse of the system may result in account termination and forfeiture of rewards.

6. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Notification of changes will be made through platform alerts or by email where applicable. Continued use of the platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
